Daniel J Staib RN
wEIGHT LOSS DIRECTOR

Daniel J. Staib, RN has extensive experience, a graduate of the University of Buffalo with a degree in Biological science, and subsequent successful career with a major Pharmaceutical/Clinical laboratory company.
Relocated from Miami Florida to Southwest Georgia in an attempt to move his family to a more suitable “country” environment as well as make a more meaningful contribution to the health and wellness of patients.
As a licensed healthcare worker and professional Registered Nurse Dan worked for State of Georgia as the Director of the Infectious Disease program for Southwest Health District until his retirement in 2011. The public health duties were many from supervising the day to day operation of the Tuberculosis, Sexually Transmitted Disease, HIV/AIDS and other Infectious Diseases, to the inclusion of novel and emerging disease programs.
The specific duties involving planning, budget management, logistics and surveillance. During this tenure he was directly responsible for as many as 28 employees in 14 county health departments. In addition to the ID program responsibilities, he was an active member of the state/district influenza task force and key organizer in the pandemic flu planning group for Southwest Public Health District. He was featured on current news segments broadcast on local media outlets such as WALB, Fox 31 and WTXL as well as quoted in print in Southwest Georgia over his Public Health career.
Now retired from Public Health, Dan enjoys working closely with his family members at Colquitt Complete Care. He is the current director/coordinator of the weightloss program as well as patient educator.
